Barrhead, Newton Mearns and Thornliebank Regeneration

East Renfrewshire Council wants your help to transform our neighbourhoods.

Over the next 5 years the Scottish and UK Governments are providing capital funding opportunities across Scotland to invest in the fabric of our towns and neighbourhoods.

We want to make sure that communities in East Renfrewshire are able to make the most of these upcoming funding opportunities to improve our towns.

A public online survey will be launched by the Council’s Economic Development team for Barrhead, Thornliebank and Newton Mearns in early May 2022, with other areas to follow later. We would also like to meet virtually or face-to-face with individuals, local organisations/groups to listen to your views and ideas.

We are particularly interested in meeting members of special interest groups such as – young people and their parents, service users, access groups, local businesses, community councils and local community groups.  In order to shape the future of our town centres and neighbourhoods it is important that we get direct feedback, particularly from groups of people with a common interest or specific issues in relation to their area.

Please circulate and discuss this invitation through your contacts and networks so that we can arrange a meeting with groups that you may be involved with.

If you would like to be involved in such a meeting or host one, please contact me by responding to this email or on the mobile number below.
