Obligation to attend Mass on Sundays/Holy Days of Obligation: This obligation will be re-instated from Sunday 2nd January 2022, the Solemnity of the Epiphany.
Rorate Mass: Each Wednesday of Advent at 7.30am. The Mass is celebrated in candle light, beginning in darkness and ending as a new day dawns, and we await, Christ the Light of the world.
Deanery Reconciliation/Confessions: The 4 Priests of the Deanery will hear Confessions in St Joseph’s Clarkston this Tuesday the 7th of Dec at 7pm and on Thursday the 9th Dec here in St Johns, at 7pm.
Assisted Suicide Public Consultation: We must send a strong message to Mr. McArthur, MSPs and the Scottish Government: that assisted suicide is a dangerous and unethical practice that must never be legalised in Scotland or any other part of the UK. The consultation is running until Wednesday 22 December 21. Closing Mass for the Year of St Joseph: The year dedicated to St Joseph will be formally closed with Mass at 7.00pm on Wednesday 8th December, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, in St Mirin’s Cathedral.
St Thomas 200 Club Prize Winners for November: Margaret Wood will be available after both Masses on the weekend of 18/19 December for those renewing or wishing to join for next year. It is £10 per number for the year, one draw, each month except for July & August. (50% of proceeds to prize winners and 50% for church funds)
Action of Barrhead Churches ABC will be having their annual Carol Singing at Tesco at 10.30 on Saturday 18th December and wish to invite anyone who would be happy to join them.
